Power engineering certification by province
Power engineer (operating / stationary engineer) certification in Canada is standardized by SOPEEC — the Standardization of Power Engineer Examinations Committee — used across most Canadian provinces and territories. The same standardized exams — 100 questions, 3 hours, 65% to pass for 5th through 2nd Class — are written from British Columbia to Newfoundland, so SteamTicket's question banks apply in every SOPEEC jurisdiction. (1st Class is still a written exam, transitioning to multiple choice.) Two jurisdictions are exceptions: Quebec runs its own MMF system, and Nunavut administers its own Chief Inspector examinations rather than the standardized SOPEEC papers. Choose your province for regulator, exam-format, and eligibility details.
