What happened to PanGlobal and PG Focus
PanGlobal Training Systems announced on 6 March 2025 that it would wind down operations, and PG Focus subscriptions ended 31 May 2025. PanGlobal has since concluded operations and no longer offers products or services (5 November 2025).

What this means for you
The exam itself hasn’t gone anywhere. Your provincial regulator still runs the same SOPEEC power engineering exams — what’s changed is where you go to practise. If your PanGlobal materials or PG Focus login have lapsed, you can pick up an independent question bank and keep studying.

To sit a SOPEEC power engineering exam today, you’re preparing for the current standard:
The 100-question / 3-hour / 65% format applies to 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd Class. Seven First Class papers remain long-answer; paper 1B4 became 100 MCQ / 3 hours on January 1, 2026. Confirm the current paper structure with your regulator. Last verified 19 July 2026. See exam format →

The Institute of Power Engineers now prints and sells Practical Skills Record Books for Third, Fourth and Fifth Class that were formerly under PanGlobal — details on the NIPE Practical Skills Record Books page (verified 18 July 2026). Those books document plant tasks and firing-time experience; they are separate from the SOPEEC written exams. SteamTicket does not sell or host those manuals or any textbook PDFs.
