What this paper covers
The first section is industrial legislation and codes, including the jurisdictional Act and regulations, the purpose of ASME Section I and the other code references, CSA B51 and B52, and the National Board code. Then comes ASME Section I calculations for boiler tube, drum, and head thickness and safety valve sizing.
The rest of the paper moves through fuels and combustion, then piping, electrotechnology, AC and DC machines, AC systems and calculations, control instrumentation, DCS and PLC basics, and industrial safety and fire protection.
